Security & Policies

The VETS provides diverse programming for the entire community in which some performances may not be appropriate for all audiences. We encourage our patrons to familiarize themselves with the performance or performer prior to purchasing tickets or calling one of our box office representatives at (401) 421.ARTS (2787) for more information on a specific event.

  • Walk-through metal detectors are now used at all performances. Please plan to arrive 30 to 45 minutes prior to curtain time.
  • Suitcases, firearms, and weapons of any kind are not allowed in the theatre.
  • All bags are subject to search; bags that pass inspection must fit comfortably under a theatre seat.
  • There is no secure storage area and confiscated items cannot be returned.
  • Providence Police details are on site at all VETS events.
  • The VETS Management reserves the right to change the security policy or implement any security measures required for any performance without prior notice.

Security

Our guests' safety is our top priority. Due to enhanced security, walk-through metal detectors are now used at all performances. Suitcases, firearms, and weapons of any kind are not allowed in the building. All bags will be searched upon arrival. Please arrive 35-45 minutes early for entry into the building.

Cameras & Recording Devices

Camera and recording devices including audio, video and still are strictly prohibited in the theater and may be confiscated if used during a performance

Late Seating Policy

For the consideration of our performers and other patrons, anyone arriving after the performance has begun will be seated only at a time designated by the artist and their management. The VETS House Management staff reserves the right to seat patrons arriving after the performance has begun in a seat that may not be the one purchased to provide as little disruption for others until intermission.

Everyone Needs a Ticket

To ensure the enjoyment of all patrons, children under the age of six (6) are not permitted unless the event is designated as a family show. Please call the box office to see which shows are appropriate for younger children. All persons, regardless of age, are required to have a ticket for entry.  **All children should be seated with an adult. Any person disrupting a performance or inhibiting the enjoyment of an event for patrons may be removed from the theater without refund.

Out of State Ticket Policy

There is a limit of 8 tickets per performance per person/credit card; regardless of the number of transactions. Credit cards with a billing address outside of RI, MA and CT will be limited to 2 tickets. We reserve the right to cancel any ticket orders if they are purchased with intent for resale. Ticket purchases are closely monitored; any sales above set parameters are subject to cancellation without notice. All tickets purchased by patrons from states other than RI, CT or MA will be held at the box office for pick-up. A valid photo ID and the credit card used to purchase will need to be presented when picking up the tickets. No exceptions will be made. Please call 401.421.2787 with any questions.

All Ticket Sales are Final

All sales are final, no refunds. Exchanges can only be made within the same event prior to the date and time of your current ticket. Please call 401.421.2787.

Smoking

The VETS is a completely non-smoking facility and this policy also includes electronic cigarettes. Smoking inside the facility is grounds for removal without refund.

First-Aid

First-aid service is available through our house management as well as our on-site fire department detail. If medical assistance is needed please notify the nearest usher or staff member immediately.

Food & Beverage

Outside food & beverages are strictly prohibited from entering The VETS. Our bars provide a wide range of snacks and beverages that may be taken to your seats. Please note that our concession stands close after intermission or 1 hour prior to the end of the performance.

Guest Courtesy

The VETS is committed to providing an enjoyable and safe experience for all its guests. In order to maintain a pleasant atmosphere for all attendees, we politely request all guests exercise courtesy to others around them. Excessive talking, overt intoxication, and disregard for the policies and regulations of the building and artists will lead to ejection from the building without refund.

Any issues resulting from disruptive behavior may be brought to the attention of The VETS staff, and will be handled accordingly by The VETS security and Management.
