What is The VETS Security Policy? What am I allowed to bring inside?

Our guests' safety is our top priority. Due to enhanced security, walk-through metal detectors are now used at all performances. Suitcases, firearms, and weapons of any kind are not allowed in the building. All bags will be searched upon arrival. Please arrive 35-45 minutes early for entry into the building.

What is the policy for cameras in the theatre?

Cameras are not permitted in the theatre.

What is the policy for cell phones in the theatre?

Cell phone use (including cell phone cameras) is not permitted in the theatre and all devices should be turned off before the start of the show.

Can I bring food and drinks into the theatre?

Outside food and drink is not permitted, however items purchased from The VETS snack bars are allowed inside the theatre.

How do I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online at www.TheVetsRI.com, over the phone by calling 401.421.ARTS (2787), or in person at the PPAC/The VETS Box Office located at 220 Weybosset Street in Providence. On-Season Box Office hours are M-F 10am-5pm; Sat 10am-2pm. Summer hours are M-Th 10am-3pm. The VETS Box Office, located at One Avenue of the Arts is ONLY OPEN on The VETS show days through curtain time.

WWW.THEVETSRI.COM and WWW.PPACRI.ORG are the OFFICIAL TICKETING PROVIDERS for The VETS. Tickets purchased from other sources may be 1) more expensive, 2) invalid, 3) ineligible for assistance. The VETS is not responsible for tickets purchased from other sources.

Does my child need a ticket?

To ensure the enjoyment of all patrons, children under the age of six (6) are not permitted unless the event is designated as a family show. Please call the box office to see which shows are appropriate for younger children. All persons, regardless of age, are required to have a ticket for entry.  **All children should be seated with an adult. Any person disrupting a performance or inhibiting the enjoyment of an event for patrons may be removed from the theater without refund.

How do I receive my tickets?

Tickets may be picked up at the PPAC/The VETS Box Office at 220 Weybosset Street on non-VETS show days. Tickets may be picked up at Will Call at The VETS Box Office on the day of the show through curtain. You may also choose to have your tickets mailed to you. If you order your tickets online, you may take advantage of “Print At Home” which allows you to print your ticket from your home computer. You may also opt for mobile delivery which will allows your tickets to be scanned from your smartphone upon arrival to The VETS.

What if I lost my ticket?

If you have lost your ticket please contact the box office at 401.421.2787

What is the refund policy?

All sales are final, no refunds. Exchanges can only be made within the same event prior to the date and time of your current ticket. Please call 401.421.2787.

Do you offer student rush or other discounted tickets?

Rush and discounted tickets vary show by show and availability is determined the day of the event.

What accommodations do you provide for guests with disabilities?

The VETS is equipped with wheelchair accessible seating, as well as elevators for access to restrooms. The VETS is equipped with Assisted Listening Systems. Patrons in need of assisted listening headphones should see the House Manager. Additional questions can be answered by calling 401.421.2787.

What is the dress code?

Although there is no formal dress code, The VETS patrons typically wear smart business casual clothing.

What time should I arrive?

The lobby doors traditionally open 45-60 minutes before show time. Theatre doors open 20-30 minutes before show time. With the implementation of enhanced security including metal detection for all patrons at events, as well as continued road in the area, please plan your arrival accordingly.

What if I arrive late?

Late arrivals will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager in accordance with the late seating policy for the show.

Do you valet?

The VETS does not offer valet service.

Where can I get something to eat near the theatre?

Dining is available at Public Kitchen and Bar located inside the Renaissance Hotel next to The VETS. There are also a number of places within walking distance to The VETS as well as around downtown Providence. For a list of options please visit The Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau website at www.goprovidence.com.

Does the theatre serve food?

The theatre has full service snack bars offering snack options such as chips, candy, cookies, pretzels, nuts, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Where is the nearest ATM?

The nearest ATM is located inside the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel located next door. There is also a Rhode Island Credit Union branch up the street.

Is smoking allowed?

The VETS is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is allowed outside the building in designated areas.

Do you have a lost and found?

The VETS is not responsible for lost or stolen items. If misplaced items are discovered they will be held in the administrative office of The VETS for you to retrieve. Please call ahead to see if your item has been found at 401.222.1467 between 12-4pm.
